What You Will Do:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Project Manager plays a pivotal role at FCS, driving the successful planning, execution, and on-time delivery of projects to the highest standards. This role involves overseeing all aspects of project management, including leading teams, optimizing resources, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. Success in this position requires delivering high-quality outcomes, meeting deadlines, and providing regular updates to senior management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion.
  • Conduct resource planning, work breakdown structure (WBS) planning, and risk analysis to evaluate project feasibility.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and micro-deliverables using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Guide project teams by organizing workflows and ensuring deliverables are produced according to specifications and plans.
  • Establish and implement mechanisms to track project progress and create formal communications plans for stakeholder updates.
  • Reallocate resources across projects as needed and resolve discrepancies in resource allocation.
  • Communicate and manage project resources from external vendors in different time zones, ensuring seamless collaboration, alignment with project goals, and timely delivery across all teams. (*Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones is essential.)
  • Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies.
  • Produce and deliver regular reports, including status updates and escalations, to stakeholders during meetings.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and associated workstreams; create contingency plans to mitigate risks.
  • Manage dependencies across multiple projects to maintain efficiency and meet deadlines.
  • Conduct post-mortem reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned for future projects.
  • Contribute to organizational process improvements through knowledge accumulation and recommendations based on project outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Core Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–3 years of experience managing product-related projects, demonstrating a proven ability to drive project success from initiation to completion.
  • Proven track record of managing or participating in complex projects, ideally in fast-paced environments, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to take ownership, ensuring successful outcomes while managing resources, deadlines, and communication across teams.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, ClickUp, Jira, Asana, or Trello).
  • Strong knowledge of risk management, resource allocation, and project tracking.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile).
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong executional focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to conflict resolution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and virtual meeting event software (Teams, Zoom). Note that file organization and record keeping is crucial in this role.

The following qualifications would be an asset:

  • PMP/CAPM certification
  • Familiarity with ClickUp tool
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial forecasting for projects
