What You Will Do:

This role provides a unique ground-floor opportunity to build and shape our commercial sales function from the ground up. Reporting to the Head of Commercialization, the Business Development & Sales Manager will be responsible for capturing, organizing, and managing sales leads while simultaneously developing a scalable sales process.

With no established playbook for selling this new product in the market, success in this role requires a highly self-sufficient, strategic, and adaptable leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. Your contributions will lay the foundation for future sales growth, paving the way for the expansion of the sales team as we scale. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact and be at the forefront of driving commercial success for our innovative technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Management & CRM Development:

  • Organize and maintain all sales leads in a CRM system.
  • Follow up with leads, qualify opportunities, and document key insights.
  • Track customer interactions and ensure a systematic follow-up process.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Building:

  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand each prospect’s specific needs and pain points.
  • Build trust and rapport with prospects to help them see the value of our solution.
  • Educate customers on the benefits and operational impact of the FC-75.

Sales Pipeline & Process Development:

  • Develop and refine sales stages, ensuring clarity on deal progression.
  • Establish a structured approach for lead qualification, proposal creation, and closing deals.
  • Identify common objections and develop responses to overcome them.

Proposal & Contract Management:

  • Create tailored proposals for each prospect based on their unique use case.
  • Develop and standardize purchase orders, contracts, and other sales documents.

Sales Materials & Messaging:

  • Work with marketing to develop standard sales collateral for different customer profiles and use cases.
  • Continually refine messaging based on customer feedback and sales interactions.

Strategic Sales Execution:

  • Identify key market segments and new use cases.
  • Prioritize high-potential opportunities based on potential deal size and strategic fit.
  • Experiment with different sales approaches to determine the most effective strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Core Competencies:

  • 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or consultative selling with a proven track record of driving revenue.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and address complex customer needs.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple leads and opportunities at various stages of the sales cycle.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, startup-like environment, where roles and strategies evolve.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales pipeline management is an asset.
  • Proactive self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can build sales processes from the ground up.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust and credibility with clients.
  • Creative and adaptable, able to think outside the box to overcome challenges and close deals.
  • Strategic mindset, with a results-driven approach to identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • A valid passport with the ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and product demos.
