Reporting to the Manager of the team, the Site Reliability Engineer’s main responsibility is configuring and upkeep Multiview Platform Infrastructure and its components, effectively monitoring and managing its services. The incumbent uses their knowledge and skills with a wide range of core cloud application support principles to improve, monitor, and troubleshoot the platform and services.

The Site Reliability Engineer works in collaboration with client support, DevOps and development teams throughout the entire, actively participates in perfecting our services and systems. The incumbent deploys and maintains critical applications and works closely with various stakeholders for managing the SAAS Platform expectations. They will implement industry best practices with automation, effective monitoring, and release delivery methodology.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Maintain all internal and client environments, including production and non-production, daily to meet our SLA and service quality requirements.
  • Mentoring departments, Team, New Hires on processes, and technical knowledge.
  • Manage and implement environmental changes, including but not limited to application release and patch deployment, configuration changes and infrastructure changes.
  • Manage and proceed the production support queue, monitoring system, fix the issues and request with required SLA.
  • Environments troubleshooting, problem solving and drive the postmortem with all stakeholders.
  • Manage client onboarding, offboarding and migration, such as on-premises to cloud migration.
  • Automate and perform software upgrades for our Cloud platform environments to meet the security requirements.
  • Manage data and resource in cloud environments, such as daily backup, perform disaster recovery in drill and real world.
  • Maintain Data Integrity and access control while you use AWS and vendors’ service platform.
  • Monitor availability and performance of the SAAS Cloud platform.
  • Develop scripts for automating cloud/server functions, including deployment, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies.
  • Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments.
  • Maintain the Infrastructure document such as runbooks, as well as all automation scripts under version source control.
  • Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the engineering teams and across all stakeholders.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or another relevant discipline
  • 4-7 years of experience as an SRE, DevOps, Systems Administrator or relevant experience
  • Experience administering, maintaining, and updating Linux and/or Windows servers
  • Experience ensuring proper security, monitoring, alerting and reporting for a cloud and on-premise infrastructure
  • Experience with AWS Cloud tech stack, including EC2, VPC, EBS, SSM, Terraform, containers and EKS, monitoring
  • Familiarity with one or more virtualization technologies such as VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, Xen, etc.
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective relationships across multiple functional areas of an organization
  • A results-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering quality products that solve users’ problems
  • Motivated, self-sufficient, resourceful and work well with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A solid understanding of production support, SRE, and DevOps best practices

PREFERRED:

  • Experience Level: 4- 7 yrs. of Site Reliability Engineer experience

Nice to have:

  • Experience with agile environment, containerized DevOps workflows, continuous integration / delivery and build / deployment is considered an Asset
  • AWS Certification is considered an asset.
  • Terraform Certification is considered as an asset.
