Director of DevOps (Remote within Canada)
Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Director of DevOps has a pivotal role responsible for the coordination, management, and oversight of daily activities related to DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering. This highly technical position encompasses the management of infrastructure such as code, CI/CD pipelines, operational automation, monitoring and logging systems, and efforts to ensure service reliability and performance.
The Director of DevOps will Lead the hiring, onboarding, talent development, retention, and succession planning for the DevOps team. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve processes. As a member of the Engineering Senior Leadership Team, the Director will contribute to fostering a positive work culture and driving the growth and retention of talent within the organization.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter and problem solver who can meet the demands of a fast-paced growing Software as a Service (SaaS) company.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Multiview business objectives, clients and product portfolio - by participating in technology roadmap, research, competitive analysis, and other engineering activities.
· Execute the agreed-upon technology strategy; collaborate with VP of Engineering and Engineering Management on strategic projects with a focus on Cloud Scalability.
· Lead, manage, mentor and empower the team of skilled DevOps professionals.
· Manage and scale SaaS platform infrastructure and all of its assets.
· Manage end to end multiple DevOps SaaS improvement projects.
· Provide effective monitoring for the platform and meet and improve SLAs.
· Responsible for maintaining SOC2 compliance, multiple policies and SOPs, including Cloud backups, DR, etc.
· Maintain SaaS platform cost optimization, with a focus on ROI and low cost of ownership.
· Utilize and promote throughout the organization the best DevOps principles.
· Manage the CI/CD process, low-cost rapid deployments, fast time to market (TTM).
· Enable and support business initiatives for increasing ARR in collaboration with other teams.
· Maintain the Platform Topology Diagrams documents.
· Maintain and follow the security guidelines and best practices for DevOps, close collaboration with the Development team on maintaining security guidelines and standards for Engineering.
· Provide effective 3rd level support according to the SLAs.
· Maintain 3rd party technology relationships, represent Multiview where appropriate.
· Exercise judgment and discretion in overall planning ranging from team structure to project planning.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to help plan, coordinate releases, and ensure delivery priorities are aligned.
· Influence the technical direction for the team.
· Help in the definition and ongoing refinement of our agile delivery processes and development standards and practices.

COMPETENCIES PORTFOLIO:
Leadership – Ability to effectively coach, provide formal feedback, guidance and work with various team members both internally and externally. Strong verbal communication skills are required.
Technical Skills – Strong in-depth knowledge as a Director of DevOps to perform the role competently. This level of expertise is gained through extensive on the job experience.
Problem Solving – Proactive in anticipating and resolving complex problems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to meet the requirements of the project are required.
Organization – Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure a smooth client support experience and operational excellence
Initiative – Seeks, accepts and completes new tasks using own initiative; works independently with little supervision.
Interpersonal Skills –Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various team members both internally and externally. Excellent communication skills are required.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
· Experience Level: 10+ years of experience with a combination of Engineering, DevOps and people management
· Proven experience in effective management of SaaS Cloud platform teams
· AWS expertise
· Experience with containerization
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Experience in project management within DevOps
· Experience with compliance and security standards like SOC2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001
· Experience with CI/CD pipelines
· Experience with relational databases, especially Oracle, is a plus
· Experience with monitoring tools and meeting SLAs, including uptime and performance
· Resourceful and self-motivated, ability to work under minimal supervision and/or strict deadlines, on multiple projects
