About the role
Are you passionate about travel and eager to dive into the world of digital marketing? Do you love crafting stories and sparking conversations that get people excited and connected? Join us as our Digital Marketing Assistant, where you'll work on exciting projects that connect our brand with travel enthusiasts across multiple platforms. Embrace the adventure and help us expand our reach in the ever-evolving landscape of influencer and affiliate marketing.

Key responsibilities

  • Research and recruit affiliates (e.g., RV bloggers, YouTubers, travel influencers).
  • Manage the affiliate program, including tracking links, creative assets, and performance metrics.
  • Identify and reach out to micro and mid-tier influencers on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and blogs.
  • Pitch collaboration opportunities (e.g., gifted stays, commission-based partnerships).
  • Manage influencer relationships from outreach to content approval and tracking.
  • Plan and execute UGC (User-Generated Content) campaigns (e.g., hashtag challenges, content contests).
  • Track and optimize affiliate and influencer campaign performance (clicks, bookings, host sign-ups).
  • Build and maintain a database of affiliates, influencers, and brand partners.
  • Explore brand partnerships with complementary businesses (e.g., camping brands, tourism boards).
  • Develop co-branded campaigns with partners and creators to amplify reach.
  • Engage with creators, affiliates, and users on social media to boost UGC and brand visibility.
  • Monitor social channels for UGC opportunities and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to repurpose UGC into ads, emails, and social posts.
  • Analyze and report on the success of affiliate, influencer, and UGC campaigns.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and recommend new growth tactics.

Qualifications:

Competencies, skills, and attributes:

  • Current university student looking for a summer 2025 internship from May 5 through August 29
  • Enrolled in a Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Exceptional creativity with a passion for developing innovative collaboration and content strategies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an eye for detail
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) and influencer landscapes
  • Comfortable with outreach and relationship-building with influencers and partners
  • Basic knowledge of social media metrics and tracking software
  • A keen understanding of current social media trends, UGC content, and influencer marketing strategies
  • Ability to adapt to the fast-paced digital environment
  • Proactive and resourceful, bringing a can-do attitude to exploring new opportunities
  • Enthusiastic team player capable of working collaboratively across different teams
  • Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva is a plus

Location

The role will require you to work from our office in Centretown 2-3 days per week.
