A bit about the role…
The Assembler involves assembling various components to create finished products according to precise specifications and instructions. The role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to follow assembly instructions accurately, and a good understanding of computer hardware and components, with basic networking knowledge being a plus. The ideal candidate will have experience in assembly or manufacturing, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. ***Please note - this is a Full-Time 3-4 month contract ending in December 2024.
WHO YOU ARE
You have attention to detail and the ability to follow assembly instructions accurately.
You have an understanding of computer hardware and their components - understanding of basic networking would be considered an asset!
You have the ability to use hand tools and assembly equipment.
You have strong organizational and time management skills.
You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You have previous experience in assembly or manufacturing, which is preferred.
You are able to lift up to 50 lbs.
You are able to reliably work from our office in Kanata, Monday to Friday.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;
Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada;
Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will assemble various components to create finished products according to specifications and instructions.
You will ensure that parts fit correctly and securely in the assembly process.
You will inspect components and finished products for defects and compliance with specifications.
You will report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
You will operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently.
You will perform regular maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
You will accurately record assembly information, such as part numbers, quantities, and any issues encountered during assembly.
You will maintain detailed logs of work performed and products completed.
You will work closely with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of assembly tasks.
You will suggest improvements to assembly processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
You will follow all company policies and procedures.
You will ensure all tasks are completed in line with company standards and customer requirements.
