ASSEMBLER | Full-Time Contract

A bit about the role…

The Assembler involves assembling various components to create finished products according to precise specifications and instructions. The role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to follow assembly instructions accurately, and a good understanding of computer hardware and components, with basic networking knowledge being a plus. The ideal candidate will have experience in assembly or manufacturing, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. ***Please note - this is a Full-Time 3-4 month contract ending in December 2024.

WHO YOU ARE

• You have attention to detail and the ability to follow assembly instructions accurately.

• You have an understanding of computer hardware and their components - understanding of basic networking would be considered an asset!

• You have the ability to use hand tools and assembly equipment.

• You have strong organizational and time management skills.

• You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• You have previous experience in assembly or manufacturing, which is preferred.

• You are able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• You are able to reliably work from our office in Kanata, Monday to Friday.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;

• Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada;

• Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• You will assemble various components to create finished products according to specifications and instructions.

• You will ensure that parts fit correctly and securely in the assembly process.

• You will inspect components and finished products for defects and compliance with specifications.

• You will report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.

• You will operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently.

• You will perform regular maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.

• You will accurately record assembly information, such as part numbers, quantities, and any issues encountered during assembly.

• You will maintain detailed logs of work performed and products completed.

• You will work closely with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of assembly tasks.

• You will suggest improvements to assembly processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

• You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

• You will follow all company policies and procedures.

• You will ensure all tasks are completed in line with company standards and customer requirements.
